Courses Description for MBA Program
 

Management
This course introduces students to management principles and practices, including the most recent management thinking and research, as well as the contemporary application of management ideas in organizations.

International Trade
This course surveys international economics, with special emphasis on the open economy macroeconomics. Specific reference will be made to Chinese open policy, international monetary policy and international financial market architecture. Topics include the structure of international financial markets; the role of central banks; exchange-rate systems; the determination of balance of payments and exchange rates; macroeconomics of open economies; the International Monetary Fund; and financial crises.

Financial Management
Financial management is an applied financial and managerial accounting course. Principles of financial and managerial accounting are developed and used to examine the difficult strategic and operational decisions existing for enterprises. The general objective of this course is to provide the firm decision maker with the financial and managerial accounting theory, concepts, and tools necessary to make better financial management decisions as well as enable the student to make sound judgments regarding financial analyses performed by others. Chinese enterprise financial and accounting features are reviewed.

Strategic Management
Emphasis is placed on the development of a philosophy of management by examining the strategic factors affecting organizations and management. Strategic management decisions are analyzed in order that they may be related to the whole philosophical framework of business. Detailed investigations are made on the effects of strategic decisions on sales, production, personnel, finance and international business. Special attention is given to ethical considerations in making business decisions and in the Chinese style of management.

Chinese Language
This course has been specially designed for the MBA foreign students, focusing on the spoken Mandarin Chinese. The aim is to develop an ability to use the language effectively for purposes of practical communication. The course is based on the linked language skills of listening, reading and speaking.
